Lesson Plans

This I Believe - This lesson plan takes its inspiration from Edward R. Murrow's famous "This I Believe" segments (recently revived by NPR) and seeks to provide students with practice articulating and asserting their core beliefs.

Career Development - Designed to introduce Baylor students to the wealth of resources available to them in the Baylor Career Center, this lesson plan walks students through career exploration to the job application process. Rich in practical wisdom, this lesson plan is especially useful for students who feel anxious about their vocational identity.

Student Wellness & Student Wellness SMART Goals Worksheet - Recognizing that students need to be healthy in mind and body means taking care of their physical health. This lesson plan helps students set healthy goals and teaches them about the resources available through the Department of Wellness at Baylor.

Resources

Department of Wellness - Did you know the Department of Wellness offers virtual activities every week? You can choose from workout sessions, delicious food tutorials, and fun interviews. Join the Department of Wellness on YouTube for weekly activities. Click HERE to check out all their video content. If it fits with your class, you may want to assign students to select one or two of these videos to try and then write a reflection on their experience.

This I Believe, Inc. website - If you choose to use the "This I Believe" lesson plan, this website provides numerous examples that students can either listen to or read to help prepare them for this assignment.

Career Center - Students who wish to explore their career options and plan strategically beyond their undergraduate degree may want to avail themselves of the many recourses provided by Baylor's Career Center.
